I know very little as for my family the same.
My grandmother (Betty Sparks (Harvey) mother Alice Belluah Taylor was supposibly sent to Alaska because she had TB, maybe mental illness ???
We know nothing about her it's like she never exsisted - so sad.
She was married to my great grandfather Robert Wesley Harvey.
Was told she did paintings and when she passed they never were returned to family.
Is there any way to find if she was a patient at one of these hospitals.
Want to say she died in 50's maybe a little sooner not sure.
Thank you so much for your time

Wow! I have been searching off and on for years for information about my mother who was admitted to Morningside Hospital in Feb of 1956 and then again in Oct of 1957. She spent about 6 months there each time. We were living in Spenard AK at that time. My dad did not share information with us but I have found some correspondence with bits and pieces of information on my mother. Mom passed away in April of 1958 in Morningside Hospital or Good Samatarian Hospital. She had gotten the flu...pneumonia...surgeries...and then death. Do you know where I can get information on her and her stay at both of the hopsitals listed above. Her name was Genevieve Hoover Rogers birth 8/9/1924 death 4/5/1958?
